This thematic study resulting from a colloquium in 2003 complements the history of the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry that appeared in that year. The first part deals with the institution and its place as an intermediary at the national level. The following three parts examine its involvement in multiple areas such as economic legislation and policy, or regional and international development. It demonstrates how, working in the wings, the Chamber can have a lasting effect on the French economy. French text.
