One of the toughest law enforcement agencies in the nation, these officers often travel hundreds of miles in piercing subzero temperatures to uphold the law. S01E01 Ice Patrol 14/10/2009 At the 2009 Arctic Man Ski and Sno-Go Classic--Alaskas version of Mardi Gras--troopers face a massive law enforcement challenge as roughly 10,000 people celebrate and snowmachine enthusiasts test their skills. The races and parties last for 4 days in the remote Hoodoo Mountains, and its up to just 13 Alaska State Troopers to keep the peace, enforce the laws, and perform dangerous search and rescue missions. Then in Fairbanks, troopers fight crime and undergo a nighttime training exercise while another trooper and his K-9 partner search a suspicious vehicle. And wildlife troopers have their hands full during the moose hunting season: theyre on the case when several illegally killed animals are discovered.
S01E02 Crime on the Kenai 21/10/2009 Unforgivable terrain mixed with big city crime makes challenging work for troopers in Soldotna, a city on the Kenai Peninsula. Trooper Brent Hatch responds to an ATV accident where an intoxicated youth lashes out. After a struggle, the youth ends up inside the walls of Wildwood Pretrial Facility. Then, a trooper investigates a collision between a motorcyclist and a semi truck, while another tracks down an 11-year-old runaway. Several troopers spend hours searching pitch black woods for a suspect who has previously assaulted an officer, and a wildlife trooper hits the waterways of the Kenai River. Alaska has the highest rate of missing persons reports in the country, and troopers are responsible for search and rescue missions. They must take to the skies to find two hunters stranded in the southeastern wilderness, an area with one of the highest concentrations of bear mauling in Alaska.
S01E03 The Wild West 28/10/2009 In the Alaskan outback, alcohol abuse is devastating communities and sending crime rates through the roof. Enforcing the law in this vast and nearly road-less region presents extreme challenges. The jail is located over a hundred miles from some of the native Alaskan villages where crimes are committed, and its the job of the State Troopers to haul suspects in. But in a world almost empty of roads, the job requires risky plane flights and boat trips for Troopers traveling alone with potentially dangerous offenders. Once in jail, untested inmates must defend themselves against tougher and more aggressive convicts, while guards strive to keep homemade alcohol out of the jail so that mayhem doesnt prevail.

S01E06 Alaskan Justice 25/11/2009 Watch as the Troopers special drug unit goes undercover to set up an Oxycontin dealer in the western outpost of Bethel. Even with its remote location, Bethel has its share of big-city drug problems. The Western Alaska Alcohol and Narcotics Team (WAANT) is a task force that combats the illegal sale of drugs and alcohol in "Bush" Alaska. S03E05 Cowboy Fugitive 18/12/2011 Deep in the rugged Talkeetna Mountains, Trooper John Cyr and rookie Trooper Scott Lanier are on the lookout for illegal hunters of sheep, caribou and moose. But when Trooper Cyr tips over his four-wheeler and breaks his ankle, Lanier is alone in the wild, with backup a half-day away. S03E06 Madman Manhunt 01/01/2012 Trooper Garcia is hot on the trail of a wanted suspect who's known to be armed and dangerous. When Garcia catches up to the suspect, he refuses to cooperate and Garcia is forced to use pepper spray to subdue him. In Wasilla, its opening day of hunting season and a call comes in of a shot "cow", or female moose. Usually killing a female moose can bring up to a $5,000 fine and a year in jail but since it was an accident and the shooter, a minor, called it in himself, he's let go.
S03E07 Moose/Man Hunt 08/01/2012 To maintain the element of surprise, Troopers execute a night operation on a remote island only accessible by boat. Their mission: to remove a threatening squatter who refuses to leave private property. Across the state, Wildlife Trooper Doug Massie gets a call about an illegal kill. After hours of searching, he finds the entire moose, but it's too late to salvage any of the meat.
S03E08 Gun N Hide 15/01/2012 When troopers respond to a call regarding a discharged gun in the Mat-Su Valley, they discover a large stash of weapons hidden inside a boat. There is a good chance that the suspect is still armed and dangerous as officers venture out into the dark woods to search for him. Later, troopers patrol villages near Juneau, handle the fall moose hunt in the Denali wilderness, and search the southeast Alaskan ocean floor for a stolen firearm.

S03E11 Warrant Wonderland 05/02/2012 Troopers respond to a series of harrowing calls in the dead of the Alaskan winter. Trooper Cresswell and Sgt. Acton are seriously out-gunned by an armed man barricaded inside a home in a small, Native Alaskan village. Back in the Mat-Su Valley, dispatch receives a frantic domestic abuse report, and upon arrival at the scene, troopers sort through conflicting stories.
S03E12 Helter Skelter Homicide 12/02/2012 While conducting a simple warrant arrest on his way to a suspect's apartment unit, Sgt. Carson discovers piles of stolen mail and a loaded handgun, and a large-scale fraud ring quickly unravels. Down in Palmer, a missing man is called to the attention of Trooper Cooper, and he suspects that there has been a homicide. Meanwhile, wildlife troopers on Prince of Wales Island stage a sting on illegal nighttime deer hunters.
S03E13 Alaskan Standoff 26/02/2012 From Alaska's bustling city of Fairbanks all the way to Grayling, a remote village that in winter is accessible only by plane, the Alaska State Troopers never have a dull moment. A team of Alaska's troopers attempt to serve a warrant to a man who doesn't want to be found. With the house surrounded and the man refusing to appear, the troopers are ready to go ' except that they have to wait for a search warrant to arrive before they can enter the house.
S03E14 Village Vigilantes 04/03/2012 Troopers go the distance in this episode of Alaska State Troopers, taking to land, air, and snow machine to bring justice to some of Alaska's most remote locations. Alaskan villages on the outskirts often present challenges for troopers, both tactically and culturally. With the help of concerned locals, troopers are able to track down wanted criminals and solve mysterious cases.
S04E01 Extreme Justice 07/10/2012 Get the adrenaline flowing with this special episode that includes arrests in remote villages; helicopter rescues on frigid, 22 degree mountaintops; and dangerous suspect chase-downs in south central Alaska. Trooper Howie Peterson confronts an intoxicated gold miner who is blocking a road. Then, when snow machine riders go missing, the troopers deploy on a search and rescue mission. The search via helicopter comes across an overturned snow machine and the race is on to find survivors.
S04E02 Knife Fight 07/10/2012 Snowflakes fall as Trooper Howie Peterson responds to a snow-machine accident where the victim may be dead or alive. As night falls, he frantically sets out into the backwoods of avalanche country to find the man. Then, a horrific stabbing sends trooper Blake Calhoun on a search for the stabber in a maze of unsecured cabins, where the potentially armed man could be hiding behind any door. Later, Trooper Anthony Stariha tries to catch a speeding vehicle before reaching the populous town center.
S04E03 Alaska Chainsaw Massacre 14/10/2012 Winter has seized Alaska, and Trooper Timothy Cronin gets a chilling call sounding like a domestic violence situation involving a chainsaw. But to get to this rural area, Trooper Cronin has to navigate through record snowfall. Then, Trooper Howie Peterson is greeted by a man at a cabin with a 15-inch knife and a rifle. Finally, Trooper Anne Sears responds to a crime against a village public safety officer and has to fly in unpredictable weather. Time to bring the rifles.
S04E04 Shotgun Showdown 21/10/2012 This episode starts with a bang as the troopers respond to a call about gunshots and screams. The hunt for the gunman leads them into the Fairbanks woods, where they find the suspect threatening to blow someone's head off. Then, on the waterways of western Alaska, the team must rein in some potentially volatile fishermen by both boat and float plane. Then, Trooper Stariha is hot on the trail of a fleeing motorcycle who suddenly takes the chase onto the crowded highway.
S04E05 Armed and Bootlegging 28/10/2012 It's a criminal homebrew operation, and Trooper Tim Smith must head into a 'dry' village where illegal manufacturing of alcohol has gotten out of control. Meanwhile, Trooper Gordon Young hunts down a dangerous thief and must race to the airport to stop the suspect from fleeing. Later, Trooper Jared Noll makes a seemingly routine traffic stop only to discover that the driver is one of the biggest meth cooks in the valley, and he's got knives with him.
S04E06 Bloody Warrior 11/11/2012 It sounds like a tale out of a horror movie when troopers Aaron Mobley and Bill Connors set out to find a man who assaulted someone with a machete, leaving the victim bloodied and with a broken jaw. But after they make the arrest, the drama is far from over.
S04E07 Campground Crazies 18/11/2012 In Alaska's Mat-Su Valley, Trooper Joseph Hess is called in to investigate an alarming discovery: campers have found remains that appear to be human toes and hands. Hess must use knowledge from the academy to decide if these are the real deal, or misidentified animal parts. Across the state in Juneau, troopers Jake Abbott and Aaron Frenzel head out on boat patrol to Prince Cove, a popular spot for king salmon.
S04E08 Grizzly-pendence Day 25/11/2012 Trooper Gabe Rich is called to a residence where renters are armed and have fired shots on anyone trying to enter their house. Will Rich find himself in the middle of a firefight in this hostile situation? Meanwhile, in Soldotna, suspects caught speeding ditch their car and take off on foot, leaving trooper Jim Buttrey to risk being outnumbered in a heavily wooded area. S04E16 Trooper Stalker 28/01/2013 Talk about a long commute! Trooper Massey must drive to the airport, catch an airplane and be picked up by a patrol boat to get from St. Mary's to Alakanuk. A gruesome fire the night before left an elderly woman dead, and Massey needs to secure the scene and investigate for foul play until the fire marshal can arrive.
S04E17 Deep Woods Standoff 04/02/2013 'Death by cop' are three words no trooper wants to hear. But those frightful words are exactly what Trooper Noll hears while responding to a domestic disturbance call. NGC's cameras capture the tense standoff as it unfolds, as Troopers surround the property and negotiate with the man. On one of the busiest highways in the Mat-Su Valley, Trooper Cooper pulls over an intoxicated muscle-head who was reported to have been doing 'donuts' in the middle of the road.
S04E18 Blacked Out & Belligerent 11/02/2013 Alaskan chaos is running rampant in the Palmer region, and the Troopers have their hands full responding to calls. On the far edge of his patrol area, Trooper Viator responds to a home invasion ' a drunken man broke into a house and fell asleep on the couch. Then it's a case of not-so-brotherly love. After a night of partying, two brothers drunk on Everclear called the police when one threatened to stab the other.
S04E19 Hot Drugs, Icy Streets 25/02/2013 In the Mat-Su Valley, trouble's blowing in the wind. A terrifying call informs Trooper Phillips that burglars have broken into a house where three children are alone. With the high winds and black ice against him, he rushes to the house to rescue the young children. Next, Wildlife Trooper Vanspronsen has to protect fishermen while a dangerous 600-lb. bear is approaching them.
S04E20 Too Much Pot 04/03/2013 Winter has set in in Alaska and wildlife Trooper Jon Simeon patrols Alaska's newly frozen lakes when he hears a gunshot: someone has illegally killed two caribou. As the Trooper and the gunman walk in the middle of the frozen lake to get the dead animals, they know that a plunge into these thin waters can kill them both. Back in the streets, an intoxicated man is challenging troopers to a gun battle. Suspecting that he has a hostage, the Troopers surround his house but no one is home.
S04E21 Chopper Down 11/03/2013 It is the dead of winter in Alaska, and Wildlife Troopers Ernie Brent and Levi Duell race on snow machines against the time and the freezing temperatures to rescue a missing pilot. In Fairbanks, Trooper Johnson is on a mission to catch a snow machine thief. He plants a snow machine on the side of the road and waits for the guy to take the bait. Just outside the city, Trooper Rallo stops a violent burglary in progress.
S05E01 Trail of Blood 15/09/2013 In the season five kick-off, we'll watch Troopers pursue suspects as spring beckons and the world's foremost sled race, the Iditarod, heats up. Patrolling the wilderness of the last frontier keeps the Troopers on their toes as people gather in March in Nome for one of the toughest races on Earth. Suspicious behavior at a gas station leads Troopers into a showdown with a suspect who locks himself in a bathroom in what looks like a last-ditch attempt to destroy his drugs.
S05E02 Loaded for Bear 22/09/2013 Troopers must employ their best means of defense when culprits come out onto the Alaskan streets armed with knives, guns and even rocks. In the Mat-Su Valley, a man recently escaped from a mental health facility wanders the streets with rocks in his pockets and takes aim at law enforcement. An injured hiker's life is in the hands of Troopers as they organize a rescue operation in the mountains.
S05E03 Bear Aware 29/09/2013 Spring in Alaska begins to bloom, bringing both tourists and bears onto the roadsides of Juneau.
