Fifth Gear is a British show and as implied by the title, it's about cars. The hosts have motorsport backgrounds and take you under the hoods of the latest speedsters and conduct tests and stunts to see what different cars are capable of.

S07E02 Episode 2 28/03/2005 Jason drives the new BMW 3 series on a 1000 mile, 48 hour road trip through Spain and France. Fifth Gear Shootout: Vicki compares the Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG to the Mercedes-Benz SL55. Tiff flys to Northern Sweden to try out some winter driving in a Jaguar and shows how well ABS, traction control, and the electronic stability program (ESP) work.
S07E03 Episode 3 04/04/2005 Vicki drives the new Mercedes-Benz A 200, compares it’s quality to the Mercedes-Benz SL 500, and compares it to the BMW 1 Series. Tiff attends the launch party for Gran Turismo 4, drives the Toyota Supra race car from the game a little, checks out how realistic the game is, and then races head to head with the game’s designer. S07E10 Episode 10 23/05/2005 Tiff drives the incredible new BMW M5 to the famous Pau circuit in the South of France. With MG Rover having gone out of business recently, Vicki examines which models are good deals with the serious dealer discounts. Jason goes to Monaco to check out the Top Marques Monaco Motorshow, a motorshow for high rollers featuring tons of really expensive cars including the Pagani Zonda F, Bugatti Veyron, and others as well as a £20 million yacht. While in Monaco, gets an exclusive look at the £300,000 Venturi Fetish, a radical new sportscar, and then bumps into former James Bond and Monaco resident Roger Moore who is interested in buying one.
S08E01 Episode 1 10/10/2005 A preview of things to come this season on Fifth Gear. Tiff drives the new Aston Martin V8 Vantage and tests it out on a race track, sideways as usual. Tom goes to an exclusive auction held by Ferrari where tons of rare and expensive Ferrari related items were sold off. Tiff examines the Mazda SASSOU concept car. Fifth Gear Shootout: Vicki races the Porsche 911 Carrera S against the Lotus Exige 240R. Jason finds out if fighter pilots make good drivers and if drivers make good fighter pilots by going flying in a Harrier and by taking a pilot around the track in a Ford GT.

S09E08 Episode 8 29/05/2006 Vicki tests out how reliable a 16 year-old Mercedes E Class estate (station wagon) by giving it some very serious punishment. Tom visits a service station in Tokyo where at night, some crazy cars show up for a car party Behind the scenes of the car stunts in M:I:III (Mission Impossible: III). A look at the day in the life of Nick Freeman, a hugely successful defense lawyer who’s been dubbed “Mr. Loophole” because of his ability find holes in the law. Tiff gives the brand new 620 horsepower Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano a thrashing about in Italy.
S09E09 Episode 9 05/06/2006 Jason drives the Lexus GS450h, the first high performance hybrid. Tom sees if 22 people can cram into the new Fiat Grande Punto, a small city car. An update on the winners of all of the cars given away this season by Fifth Gear. A small teaser trailer of a segment that will shown later in the year of behind the scenes of the new James Bond film, Casino Royale, and the new James Bond car, the Aston Martin DBS. Tiff races an Aston Martin DBR9 at Silverstone in the brand new GT3 Championship, against rivals driving Ferraris, Porsches, Lamborghinis, Corvettes, Maseratis, and Ascaris. Jon Bentley looks into what happens if you put the wrong fuel type into your car. Vicki does some budget racing in Rallycross Jason drives the latest generation of the Honda Legend and pits it against it’s rivals, the Audi A6 and a BMW 530i. Guest presenter Tim Lovejoy asks Carl and Didz from the rock band Dirty Pretty Things to pass judgement on the new Radford Mini. Tom’s final report from Japan where this time he visits the world’s largest car dealership which is actually more like a theme park than an actual car dealership. Vicki finishes off the Mercedes E Class from a previous episode.
S09E11 Episode 11 10/07/2006 Vicki attempts to set a new world record for the most distance traveled in one hour by seven people in a mini-MPV (minivan). Tiff races a Dakar rally BMW motorcycle with it’s BMW X5 support vehicle to see which would win on a known offroad course, the 4×4 or the motorcycle. Jon Bentley gives a 60 second driving review of the Volkswagen EcoRacer. Tom flies to Austria in Alan Sugar’s private jet to test drive the new Audi TT on the road up Austria’s highest mountain, Großglockner. Conclusion of the Fifth Gear concept car competition where the winner is announced. Tiff learns to drift and enters the UK’s inaugural Drifting competition, the D1GP, in a 590 BHP 1991 Toyota Soarer which is fitted with a turbo from a truck. Fifth Gear crashes the annual gathering of fast cars trying to beat the 0-60 MPH record to see if anyone can beat the current record of 3.07 seconds. S25E03 Episode 3 19/03/2015 In this episode of Fifth Gear, Tiff Needell and Formula E racing driver Karun Chandhok put two supercar fast limos up against each other on the track - the Mercedes S63 AMG and Jaguar XJR. The presenting team test the Citroen C4 Cactus, a car with airbags on outside, and find out how well it can stand up to some abuse. Vicki Butler-Henderson drives the BMW i8 and decides if it’s the future of supercar design. S25E04 Episode 4 26/03/2015 Tiff Needell and Vicki Butler-Henderson visit Poland to sample some of the sights, sounds and car culture there. Tiff competes in the final stage of the Barborka Rally, that takes place on the icy streets of Warsaw as night falls. It marks the end of the Polish motorsport season and tens of thousands turn out to watch the event. With only a few hours practice in the car and no practice on the course itself, Tiff has just one chance to get it right.

They must tackle thirteen impossibly steep and muddy hills during a 24 hour driving marathon through Devon, and get up every one of them to win a coveted gold medal. Can they make it in their 44 year old Ford Escort?
S26E01 Episode 1 02/07/2015 In this episode of Fifth Gear Tiff Needell and Vicki Butler-Henderson take part in a unique car v plane challenge. Nigel Lamb is the current Red Bull Air Race champion, which makes him the airborne equivalent of Lewis Hamilton. His MX2 aircraft is Formula 1 quick as well. But Tiff and Vicki also have a very special machine, a £300,000 Lamborghini Aventador. Once Vicki has experienced a ride in Nigel’s plane, and Nigel has had a spin in the Lamborghini, it’s time for them to go head to head. The aircraft is faster, but the car can turn tighter. The result is very close indeed.
S26E02 Episode 2 09/07/2015 In this episode of Fifth Gear Tiff Needell and Vicki Butler-Henderson visit sunny South Africa to drive everything from rally cars, to supercars to military vehicles. Tiff and Vicki visit Paramount Group, makers of the fastest, toughest, military vehicles around. Using Paramount’s off road facility they stage a tortoise versus hare race. Tiff has the faster machine but must complete the longer, smoother route. Vicki’s vehicle is slower but she can take the rougher short cut. Does winning matter? Yes, because the loser will have to occupy the passenger seat as the presenters take on the most extreme off-road course, in Paramount’s most extreme machine. Expect hyper ventilation.
S26E03 Episode 3 16/07/2015 In this episode of Fifth Gear Tiff Needell and Karun Chandhok take two high performance saloons to the track to discover which is the fastest, and most entertaining, to drive. BMW have a long history of producing very quick family sized cars, and on paper their new M4 looks every bit as good. By comparison Lexus has never made a car of this type – however their new RC-F seems to match the BMW blow for blow. Three tests will determine which car best deserves its £60,000 price tag. The Bentley Mulsanne Speed is, according to the manufacturers, the fastest limousine in the world. But, being a Bentley, it’s extremely luxurious to. Jonny Smith takes a tour of this £300,000 car, which has a top speed of 190 mph but also comes equipped with Champagne flutes.
S26E04 Episode 4 23/07/2015 In this episode of Fifth Gear Tiff Needell visits northern Sweden for a very chilly rally challenge. He has just a few hours to learn the skills of racing on sheet ice before he takes on a rally champion over a treacherous rally stage. The potential for disaster waits around every corner. Jonny Smith journeys to Iceland to drive Land Rover’s new Discovery Sport. On paper it seems to be the perfect all-round car, combining brilliant off-road ability, with comfort, sportiness and space for seven. Jonny has a day to put the car through its paces, which includes driving through blizzards and a very wide, freezing, river.
S26E05 Episode 5 30/07/2015 In this episode Fifth Gear re-unites two of the greatest names in Formula 1 history – Prost and Senna. This time it’s Ayrton’s nephew Bruno and Alain’s son Nico who will do battle on the track. With Tiff Needell and Karun Chandhok in attendance they set out to discover which of a current crop of hot hatches is best. It’s a knockout competition that will eventually result in just two cars racing head to head around the Snetterton circuit. And that means one thing – it’s Prost v Senna all over again. After nearly 60 years the greatest 4x4 in the world, the Land Rover Defender, is about to go out of production. Vicki Butler-Henderson celebrates the end of an era by taking part in a high speed off-road challenge against current Defender Challenge Trophy champion, Edd Cobley.
S26E06 Episode 6 06/08/2015 In this episode of Fifth Gear Vicki Butler-Henderson and Tiff Needell travel to Romania to sample some of the car culture there. This includes driving some massive off-roaders, meeting a local classic car restorer, and racing a motorsport mad Mayor up the streets of his town. Tiff and Vicki travel to the wilds of the Romanian countryside to drive some extreme off-road vehicles made by a company called Ghe-O. They start off by having a race in Ghe-O’s fast Fighter buggy. The winner then gets to drive the company’s biggest machine, the Rescue. It can go literally anywhere so Tiff decides to take Vicki for a spin…up a river.
