Czars of the bizarre, Mark Frost & David Lynch have concocted a new series that shows the perils of live television during the "Golden Age of Television." Complete with the usual odd assortment of strange characters that would normally be associated with a Lynch / Frost production. Music for the series was composed and conducted by Angelo Badalamenti. In an attempt to revive his failing career, movie star Lester Guy has agreed to star in this new live variety show for the Zoblotnick Broadcasting Company (ZBC). The owner of the network sends his nephew, from the old country, to direct this show...
|S01E01||The Lester Guy Show||20/06/1992||The crew attempt to launch the first broadcast of The Lester Guy Show; however, bizarre events throw the whole show off balance. Mr. Zoblotnick, the network owner and the rest of the viewing public like the results and it's a hit.|
|S01E02||Episode 2||23/06/1992||After the success of the first show, Betty receives a dinner invitation from Mr. Zoblotnick and she worries about what say to him. The public demands more Betty, much to Lester's dismay; he connives with Buddy to make her look foolish in front of Zoblotnick.|
|S01E03||Episode 3||27/06/1992||Because of Betty's incredible popularity from the debut show, Lester convinces Professor Answer to compete against Betty and her seventh grade teacher in a rigged quiz show.|
|S01E04||Episode 4||30/06/1992||A great film and stage actor is booked for the show, so that Lester can get the spotlight off of Betty. Meanwhile, Betty searches for her lost duck.|
|S01E05||Episode 5||04/07/1992||Sylvia Hudson, a class A bitch & Betty's sister, appears on the show and insults Mr. Peanuts the network's children show star. Betty gets the crew and the viewing public to bring Mr. Peanut's spirits up.|
|S01E06||Episode 6||07/07/1992||A plumber runs some pipes in the backstage area, in less than convenient places. A bum hanging around backstage, turns out to be a once famous Gypsy magician, that was booked on the show. When the gypsy doesn't appear to be ready to go on, Lester tries learning magic, his latest attempt to steal the spotlight from Betty.|
|S01E07||Episode 7||10/07/1992||Lester demands that a beatnik (without a name) must be allowed to perform the on the show. Betty tries to remember her mother's first name. Lester invest in an inventor's device that will disintegrate Betty's voice. All he needs is a recording of her voice.|
