The Magaluf Weekender is a unique new six-part documentary series following goings-on at the infamous holiday resort of Magaluf in Mallorca. Each week we will follow two different groups of 18-24 year-olds as they head out to the resort to party away a long weekend of their lives. For some, it is their first holiday without their parents, as they check-in to the Lively hotel with their friends for three days they will never forget. Mainly thanks to the fixed rig cameras throughout the hotel filming their every move. On hand to ensure the guests have the trip of a lifetime are our four characterful holiday reps – Jamie-Leigh, Imogen, Brett and Jordan. With cameras filming throughout the hotel from reception to the bar, pool and bedrooms of holiday-makers, everything that happens on the trip can be recorded to capture the ultimate truth, good or bad, about what happens when you fill a hotel in a Spanish resort with young Brits determined to have a good time.
|S01E01||Episode 1||06/01/2013||"I think both of us kind of thought this could be a ‘friends with benefits’ thing. Then because we built up a friendship together it went away from that and straight to mates. We joke around saying ‘if we don’t pull tonight we’ll go with each other’ but I don’t think we really would. It’s so complicated isn’t it? This is what Magaluf is like. It’s crazy!” Imogen, Holiday Rep The Magaluf Weekender is a unique new six-part documentary series following goings-on at the infamous holiday resort of Magaluf in Mallorca. In episode one, checking-in to the Lively hotel are 18-year-old childhood friends Emily, Scott and Fran from Manchester. As well as being best mates there is an added complication as Fran and Scott used to date, yet when Scott recently came out Fran was there to support him. Head rep Brett takes an instant liking to Scott and flirts shamelessly on arrival before later enlisting fellow reps Jordan and Imogen to make enquiries on his behalf about Scott’s availability for some holiday romance. But he is left feeling deflated when it becomes clear Scott is playing the long game. Brett confides to Imogen: “If they’re a good loo|
|S01E02||Episode 2||13/01/2013||First to check into the hotel this week, are three small town lads from Kings Lynn in Norfolk. Best mates Harry and Tom, both 19, have come away with Tom's younger cousin Sean, 18 and all three single boys are on the look-out for love. Harry and Tom admit they aren't good with women but Sean is more confident and hopes that the other lads will follow his lead and conquer their self-esteem issues this weekend. Sharing the room next door are gorgeous identical twins; Pearl and Ruby from Bow, East London. The girls are an instant hit with the one of the reps, ladies man Jordan. “I don’t know what to say”, says Jordan, “You know that’s every boys fantasy? Two, fit twins!” After meeting them at the pool, hapless Harry and Tom immediately fall hook, line and sinker for the girls too. They then make a plan for the evening. Sean says, “Best thing to do is to go clubbing tonight with them. First club, if not one of us ‘tashes on to them we’ll just ditch them and go onto the next club.” That night the group head out onto the town and Tom looks all set to make a move on Pearl before ruining his own chances by getting totally wasted. The following day Sean berates Harry and Tom for not being more forward with the twins, “I just think you’re going to waste your weekend in the friend zone. If they were doing to do something (with you) by now they’d have done it.” The difficult relationship between reps Jaime-Leigh and Imogen continues to be tense as they share a room. Talking about Imogen, Jaime-Leigh says, “For me she is the exact opposite of everything I would want to be. The people she associates with, the things they talk about, there’s nothing about her that I like.” Imogen says: “She’ll say, ‘Hi babe, are you ok, how has your day been’ and then next minute she’s behind my back mimicking me. I just think it’s so two faced, so bitchy. She looks down people a lot. I feel like I’ve been nit picked a lot since I’ve been here. I thought I could take|
|S01E03||Episode 3||20/01/2013||“We propose to bring a bit of class to Magaluf. So we’re not going to bring one girl back to the apartment cos that’s not classy. That’s better.” Gianni, holiday-maker First to check into the hotel Lively this week are three childhood friends from North London - Josh, Danny and Gianni. Joining them for a weekend in the sunshine are best friends and budding beauticians, 18-year-olds Hannah and Christie from Worthing. The girls have never ventured abroad before without their parents and are determined to enjoy their independence. As the girls get ready for a night on the town, Christie admits she can’t resist getting bronzed up: “I would say I’m a tanoholic. I’m obsessed with spray tan. I’ve got my own spray tan booth at home because my Dad bought it for me for Christmas.” Not to be outdone by the girls grooming, Gianni sprays his eyebrows with hairspray before heading out on the pull. Meanwhile, holiday reps Imogen and Jordan are on pool duty together and Imogen can’t wait to tell Jordan about her new tattoo showing the date she started her new rep job. Jordan is quick to point out that it’s also the date they slept together, leaving Imogen horrified by the double meaning of her new tattoo. That evening Imogen makes clear to roommate Jordan that he’d better not bring any girls back to their room and the pair fallout on the Magaluf strip, over his behaviour. Jordan manages to sneak an old flame back to their room regardless but wary of Imogen’s feelings, sneaks the girl out again within 40 minutes. But the following day he is left feeling guilty and admits to fellow rep Jaime-Leigh that he wants to change and grow up. Jordan says: “Imogen obviously does come first, she’s a mate of mine. I wouldn’t want to lose that friendship, I wouldn’t want to mess with that.” The boys take a shine to some stunning Icelandic girls at the hotel and invite them to their room for drinks. Josh says: “They’re so nice that|

Rob explains: “It’s been nine months since he’s done anything with a girl.” Jordan works his magic as the group hit the bars together and Ryan is thrilled: “Oh my God, Jordan is a miracle worker, honestly I can’t believe it. They might be kisses on the cheek but they are still brilliant. Hopefully he’s going to help me out some more. I don’t know how far I’m gonna go, but I hope I’m gonna go pretty far.” Meanwhile, Jordan sets his own sights on Lauren. Both are single and Becky says: “Mine and Leanne’s motto is go hard or go home, so if you can’t handle it, don’t come out.” Self-conscious Callum takes an early shine to Lian and is determined not to get stuck in the friends’ zone. As the group hit the town together, Jordan is keen to break the ice with a group game of ‘pass the ice cube’. Imogen and John soon hit it off but after too many drinks, John has to be put to bed alone, to Imogen’s disappointment. And having pulled Leanne during their night out, Callum is devastated when she also falls asleep in her room. Meanwhile, Jaime-Leigh and Tobi acknowledge the growing chemistry between them. Jaime says: “Tobi and I get on really well and we definitely have a connection. We are a little bit flirty but nothing’s really going to happen there, I don’t think.” But Tobi has other ideas: “It’s early days so far, however me and Jaime-Leigh get on very well, there’s a lot of chemistry. She’s a tough nut to crack, however with a bit of persistence I can definitely get there.” Fearing it’s make or break night with Leanne, Callum takes some advice from Tobi, who later realises Lian isn’t interested and encourages Callum to move on to other girls, resulting in tension within the group. As the holiday continues, Jack shows off his Michael Jackson impersonation and ends up losing a bet and braving the strip in full makeup, while Andy Murray lookalike Louwrens ends up playing tonsil tennis. Jaime-Leigh and Tobi’s relationship continues to flourish, while Jordan takes Bella on a romantic date. So, as the guests and reps party away the long weekend, will Sean make it through another night on the strip? And will Jordan ever get his girl?|
